FAQs

Do I need to make an appointment to visit Occupational Medicine Centers of America?
We encourage all OMCA clients to make an appointment for specialty physicals and Workers’ Compensation follow-up visits. All other needs can be accommodated on a walk-in basis during regular business hours.

How long will a visit to Occupational Medicine Centers of America take?
Most patients are treated and released in about an hour. However, visit times vary depending on the number of patients at the center, the severity of their injuries or illness, and the required diagnostic tests.

Who will provide my medical care?
Occupational Medicine Centers of America are staffed by board-certified physicians who are skilled in the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Some physicians practice in local emergency rooms. All of our providers—physicians, physician assistants, medical assistants and radiological technicians are dedicated to providing excellent medical care in a compassionate, respectful manner.

A DOT physical is valid for how long?
If the results of the exam are normal, an exam is required once every two years. If medical issues are involved, DOT exams may be required in less than two years (e.g., once every 6 months).

How long does it take for an employer to receive drug screen results?
Results are usually available within 24-36 hours for lab-based collections.
